The design is proposed in a compact stretch of land as a part of a residential development located in the deserted coast on the outskirt of Lima. This development is 120km away from Lima City.

The house benefits from the increasing slope to create a sculptural and aesthetic volume. The plot is located besides an open park. Despite the compact character one can see the lightness and dynamic properties of the volume, characteristics that strengthen its relation with the public park.

The monolithic and massive volume chosen as a starting point and worked as a big carved block searches the contrast in a duality introspection and permeability. This position prioresses the views towards the ocean and the park but closed to the immediate context.

Consequently, special attention was given to inner space and it´s visual to the environment. There are three visual axes that relate to different levels and its directionality with exterior. The first axis is horizontal from the main entrance and steered to the park. Perpendicular to it is the second axe which is vertical looking towards the sky and where circulation is developed vertically. The third one directing the view from the social area towards the ocean. These three axes merge in a single space that integrates not only the most important visuals and circulations but the social and intimate areas.
In this atmosphere, integration of conceptual visuals is achieved, as well as the functional integration of all areas through a spiral staircase bonding the second and third floor. Leaving the first floor to parking and services areas. Light enters through visual frames covering all the house. Despite the house is compact, this effect gives the sensation of lightness and amplitude. The rest of the building closes to the environment giving it more privacy and avoiding neighbors' registry. The interior-exterior relation is emphasized through these visual frames.

The materials used, the walls painted in white, the stone walls at the bottom and the grey floors seeks to give a solid image in the exterior and a neutral atmosphere in the interior empathizing the strong colors of nature outside the house such as: ocean, park, sky and mountains. The color inside the house is concentrated in the spiral staircase.

We chose to leave the social areas in the third floor, to take advantage of the ocean view over the first row terraces. In the first floor we identified areas which required a lot less illumination such as service and parking areas.
The plot of the house is compact and functional. One enters by a lateral staircase that leads straight to the second floor. There one immediately discovers the principal perforation in the house volume which relates with the park in the other corner of the house. From this point you one can access the four bedrooms and the family room. The spiral staircase connects this level with the one on top where the social areas are located such as dining room, terrace, pool, living room all of them with a direct view to the ocean. In the fist floor we have the services areas and a parking for four cars.
